Out on the Farm

Last month, yes September (I know I'm horrible at blogging) we went twice to farm out in Palmer. Once was for Maddy's preschool field trip and the other was for a fall celebration.

The kids absolutely enjoyed the wagon rides- well everybody except Madeline who refused to get in the wagon.

Jackson loved it so much that he refused to get out and Caleb was a good sport about it and rode it again with him.

Jack and his cheesy grin because he was sipping pop out of the water bottle. Truly a luxury!

Caleb humoring me and attempting to smile for a photo.

Jack was fascinated by the tractors and didn't want to get off.

The best group picture out of 20.

The big man in town....

Yee-haw!

The kids were able to dig up some red potatoes to take home. Yummy! Since then we only eat red potatoes now.

Here's Maddy on her field trip picking up potatoes.

Hay rides are great (except if you're pregnant and need to pee and are riding on a bumpy farm road). But I'm happy to report there were no accidents.

Cheese!!! Maddy and some of her classmates.

Alaska truly is beautiful!

Goose Lake

I took the kids to distract them from Aaron's last departure to Goose Lake with a couple of friends and their kids. It was a warm day and it was fun just to relax.
Didn't you know that white is the new tan? Ha ha.

Beautiful scenery.

Madeline loved this little mud hole. I wonder how many kids....well I'm sure you can guess what I'm thinking.

Dad's surprise visit

Here are some pictures of the visit we had with Aaron in September. We were lucky to celebrate Jack's birthday that Sunday all together.
This is usually where you'll find one of the girls- nestled in her dad's arms.
Seriously, this is like the only pregnant picture I have of me with Lincoln and it doesn't even show my stomach! Caleb too this pic.

I love it when he's home!

I think Maddy is just as excited as Jack.

Jack's not sure what's going to happen...

Look at how excited Madeline was...HA HA HA !!

Opening up his doggy from Yoyo and Grandpa.

He sleeps with it every night.

Madeline and Jack made Jack a Guitar Hero guitar out of paper for him and a cell phone out of paper. It was hilarious!

Big Events

Caleb started 3rd grade this year...can you believe it?! Where has all the time gone?

Madeline started preschool.

She absolutely LOVES LOVES LOVES it and would go everyday if she could. Her class size is small and she already knew a couple of her preschool friends.

Granny Yo

We took my mom up a big mountain so she could see beautiful Eagle River.

Caleb was so interested in taking pictures with her camera. It was cute.

The Ol' Door Trick

It was worth a try but didn't work. Mom ended up pulling it out with some loving care a couple of days later.

5 years

For five wonderful years together Aaron gave me a diamond charm
bracelet. I was scared to wear it before he told me they were real
diamonds so now I smile at it while it sits in the box. And he got me
a Coach purse. I never saw myself as a Coach purse person bc kids are
so hard on your stuff but I've been carrying it bc I figure he'd want
me to use it than it sit in my closet. Thanks honey. You sure do
spoil me.

Night Vision Goggles

I think he's so cute in his little goggles and helmet but I guess
you're supposed to say something to make him seem more of a warrior.
I'm so happy school- for Aaron- is almost over!!!

Surprise!

Surprise!

Aaron surprised us all last weekend and came home. I woke up to a phone call at 1:10 am Saturday from him asking me to open the front door. I told him he was so smart bc if he had opened the garage door and set off the alarm he would of been greeted with a gun. He said," yeah I know that's why I called." We had so much fun. Saturday after the shock of the kids waking up to find dad home we did our chores really fast and headed out. We took the kids to Build A Bear which they absolutely enjoyed. Caleb got his bear a flight suit which I thought was so cute. Aaron spoiled me, like usual, at the mall and bought me some mary jane danskos for my aching feet . My feet actually didn't hurt that night so they must be worth the hype and money. We went and visited one of Aaron's friends that he was at flight school with. They just moved here a month ago. They volunteered to watch the kids and Aaron and I enjoyed a nice meal at the Haute Quarter Grill. If you live in ER and never ate there try it. It was good and the restuarant nice but be willing to shed the bucks. A meal for two can easily cost you $100. After that we went home and all of us fell asleep together on the couch. Home felt like home with all of us together. Sunday we went to church as a family and Aaron took the Sacament shift with Jackson. I can't wait till that child makes it through that hour. Sunday night Aaron left. It was a super short visit but it was the best visit we've ever had. We actually have an official countdown till when he comes home. 52 days. I can't wait!

At the mall they have this stuffed brown bear. I can't remember how tall it is but it weighs 1900lbs. Out of the largest 200 shot in Alaska it's only number 100.
