Trick-Or-Treat Town

Yesterday we went to Trick-Or-Treat town. The kids had such a great time! I actually decided to make the kids costumes this year. It was quite the adventure. I started in September and remembered Friday that Trick-Or-Treat town was Saturday so Friday I spent sewing.

Kali was Hermine from Harry Potter

Caleb decided that he wanted to be a pirate, again, and wore the same costume as last year.

Madeline was a princess/witch/snow princess/whatever she changed her mind to be by the minute. I was impressed that she did the whole thing in heels.

Jack was a giraffe. He cracked me up the whole night. At first he didn't want to wear his costume and I showed him in the mirror what he looked like and he was in love. He wore it all night, went to bed with it, woke up and was wearing it (I made him take it off for church), and when we got home from church he put it back on.

This is how he stood patiently in line. So cute!

Scary.

Once Jack understood that each person was going to give him candy he ran right along with the other kids.

I know it's amazing...I'm actually in a picture!!!! Happens only twice a year!

Look at all the chocolate drool on that outfit.

Great Grandma

Aaron's grandma passed away last month and I was so fortunate to have people step up to play my role so I could go support Aaron. Caleb and Kali understood what was going on but Madeline had such a hard time. She thought it was Aaron's mom, grandma, instead of great grandma. So while I was there I had Aaron's parents make a little video for Maddy so she could see that they were still around.

Here's Aaron and I the morning of the funeral. I prayed that that button on my little sweater would hold out. And just incase it didn't I brought a little sewing kit. ha ha.
This statue is in the entrance of the funeral home. I loved it!

Three sisters over looking their mom...
Executive meeting. Doesn't this picture look like it should was taken out of the White House or somewhere important like that?

Aaron's brother, Kevin, and his family.
At the grave site.

I love watching these two together.

He totally wasn't posing for this picture. I just happened to take it while he was putting on his sunglasses. What a stud!
It's such a blessing to know that this isn't goodbye...it's just see you later.

Out on the Farm

Last month, yes September (I know I'm horrible at blogging) we went twice to farm out in Palmer. Once was for Maddy's preschool field trip and the other was for a fall celebration.

The kids absolutely enjoyed the wagon rides- well everybody except Madeline who refused to get in the wagon.

Jackson loved it so much that he refused to get out and Caleb was a good sport about it and rode it again with him.

Jack and his cheesy grin because he was sipping pop out of the water bottle. Truly a luxury!

Caleb humoring me and attempting to smile for a photo.

Jack was fascinated by the tractors and didn't want to get off.

The best group picture out of 20.

The big man in town....

Yee-haw!

The kids were able to dig up some red potatoes to take home. Yummy! Since then we only eat red potatoes now.

Here's Maddy on her field trip picking up potatoes.

Hay rides are great (except if you're pregnant and need to pee and are riding on a bumpy farm road). But I'm happy to report there were no accidents.

Cheese!!! Maddy and some of her classmates.

Alaska truly is beautiful!

Goose Lake

I took the kids to distract them from Aaron's last departure to Goose Lake with a couple of friends and their kids. It was a warm day and it was fun just to relax.
Didn't you know that white is the new tan? Ha ha.

Beautiful scenery.

Madeline loved this little mud hole. I wonder how many kids....well I'm sure you can guess what I'm thinking.
